Return to Work with Optimism
Parental leave coaching
Just when you’ve adjusted to the emotional rollercoaster of having a baby, going back to paid work is another major transition that throws all sorts of extra feelings and concerns into the mix. I know because I’ve done it twice.
Emotionally, you might be experiencing excitement, guilt, dread, nerves, anticipation and shifting relationships (select all that apply!).
Practically, you’re thinking about new schedules, childcare, how you’ll manage when someone gets sick - and probably wondering how your brain can fit in all that and your paid work.
My Return to Work with Optimism programme will help you navigate this transition, setting up you and your family for success in this next phase of your lives. I love helping people feel steady through this change.
“You’ve been very positive and supportive. Through coaching I have a clearer idea about what I want and I am better able to articulate it. It is helping me to think about myself and not so much about pleasing others.”—Beverley
We’ll work together for 5 online sessions, 3 before and 2 after your return to your workplace, exploring topics like:
Your strengths and achievements
What you really want and need
What you’ll achieve next
Advocating for yourself
Your relationships
Challenges that come up once you’re back at work
You might want to focus on home, work or a mix of both for any of those areas.
Coaching is an empowering process that will bring clarity, calm and confidence to the coming months. Rather than letting change happen to you, you’ll be choosing the changes that will make your new life really work. You, your family and your colleagues will feel the benefit of you returning to work with intention.
“It's such a powerful and empowering way to hear yourself actually come out with your own answers, particularly if things had just felt really tough beforehand.”—Rebecca
